Louise Tilley Chambers

Mrs. Louise Tilley Chambers, age 90, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Mrs. Chambers was born in Taylorsville, GA, on August 26, 1932, daughter of the late Homer Tilley and Velma Gregory Tilley. She had spent her childhood in Taylorsville and attended Taylorsville School. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Chambers was a parts inspector with Murata Manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing and working with flowers. Mrs. Chambers was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband, William George Chambers, Sr., son William George “Chip” Chambers, Jr., brother, Daniel Tilley, brothers-in-law, Ralph (Marie) Chambers, and Charles (Joyce) Chambers.

Mrs. Chambers is survived by a daughter, Sandra Hurt of Rockmart; daughter-in-law, Carla Chambers of Rockmart; five grandchildren, Mitch (Annie) Hurt, Cassie (Greg) McAlister, Shad (Kim) Chambers, Jason (Jennie) Chambers, Kendra (Blake) Brumbelow. Twelve great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edie Miller, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery with Mrs. Chambers’ great-grandson, Chase Pinion, officiating.

The family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m.
