Mrs. Louise Worsham Ford, age 90, of 130 Lee Street Dallas, GA and formerly of Cedartown passed away Tuesday evening, July 21, 2009 in Wellstar Paulding Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Cedartown, GA on October 17, 1918 a daughter of the late Albert Archie Worsham and Hattie Elizabeth Camp Worsham. Mrs. Ford had lived the last 23 years in Cedartown before moving to Dallas due to declining health. She was a member of the Lime Branch Baptist Church, a homemaker and a beautician. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by sisters: Marjorie Ballinger, Lola Brown and Lucille Langford.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Mr. William Howard Ford to whom she was married on April 11, 1936; one son, Mr. Gary Ford, Dallas, GA one brother, Mr. John A. Worsham, Lithia Springs, GA; two sisters: Mrs. Omadelle Grant, Cedartown and Mrs. Beatrice Edwards, Memphis, TN; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Wood and Minister Roger Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will include: Scott Vanek, Jay Worsham, Steve Chandler, Grant Chandler, Chris Menefee and Wayne Andrews.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
