Mrs. Mabel Jones Campbell, age 71, of Rockmart, GA passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on April 23, 1945 a daughter of the late Dave Jones and the late Mary Elizabeth Cochran Jones. Mrs. Campbell had been a resident of Rockmart all of her life and was an employee of Goodyear, Loral and Engineered Fabrics for over thirty years. She was a member of the East View Baptist Church of Cedartown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Nichelson.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Rev. Reginald Campbell, Rockmart to whom she was married on April 8, 1962; children: Regina Campbell, Rockmart, Beth Campbell, Rockmart, Marshall Campbell (Tara), Cedartown and Holly Camara (Allan), Rockmart; grandchildren: Adam Camara, Samuel Camara (Keershton), Chris Campbell, Candace Cox (Austin), Bryson Campbell, Slade Campbell and Emmalyn Campbell; great grandchildren: Blakley Cox and Truett Cox; sister, Verna Davis (Wayne), Waleska, GA and brother, David Jones, Cedartown; sister-in-law, Francis Campbell; brothers-in-law: Nigel Campbell, Lantz Campbell and Gearl Nichelson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the East View Baptist Church with her husband Rev. Reginald Campbell, son Marshall Campbell, son in law Allan Camara and grandsons: Adam, Chris, Samuel and Austin delivering eulogies. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Dewayne New and Deacon Dale Miller officiating.

Mrs. Campbell will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the service hour.

Active pallbearers will include: Marshall Campbell, Allan Camara, Chris Campbell, Adam Camara, Samuel Camara and Austin Cox. Honorary pallbearers will include: Candace Cox, Bryson Campbell, Slade Campbell, Emmalyn Campbell, Trevor Cox and Chevy Cox.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Mabel Jones Campbell.
