Mrs. Marcia Queen Campbell, age 67, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016.
She was born in Cedartown, GA on January 4, 1949 a daughter of the late Howard Queen and Thelma Horsley Queen. Mrs. Campbell had lived all of her life in Rockmart. She was a 1968 graduate of Rockmart High School, was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church and for many years was associated with the Rockmart-Aragon Hospital, working in the business office. Her last employment was with Wellstar Paulding Hospital.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Micah Campbell on May 18, 2008 and by a sister, Sharon Abernathy on April 21, 2014.
Survivors include her husband, Irvin Campbell to whom she was married on September 18, 1971; son Trace Campbell and his husband Ivan Van, Kennesaw; brother, Jay Howard Queen, Rockmart and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper officiating. A eulogy will be given by her son Trace Campbell.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
