Marcia Maxwell

Mrs. Marcia G. Maxwell, age 72, of Panama City, FL and formerly of Marietta, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was born on August 15, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, to her late parents: Morris Lee Martin Sr. and Mildred Ruth Head Martin. Mrs. Maxwell spent her childhood in Rockmart and later moved to Marietta in 1970. She has since resided in Panama City, FL since 2011. Marcia had worked for Genworth Financial as the vice president of secondary marketing. In her free time, she enjoyed interior decorating, horticulture, cooking, canning, going to the beach, making ocean terrariums, hosting get togethers and spending time with her loving family. Mrs. Maxwell was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Summerville and niece, Cicely Summerville.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by her loving husband, Larry Maxwell of Panama City, FL, daughter, Mischelle Goudreau and her husband, Scott of Marietta, GA, grandson, Nick Goudreau and his wife, Catherine of Birmingham, AL, sisters: Cherry Clark, Rita Martin and Pam Dunn, brothers: Lee Martin and Mark Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Marcia G. Maxwell will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Bonner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Children’s Fresh Air Farm in loving memory of Mrs. Maxwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the service begins at 5:00 PM.
