Margaret Lea Fann Pennington

Margaret Lea Fann Pennington, age 76 of Cedartown, GA, passed away Thursday evening, October 12, 2023, in Chattanooga, TN.

Margaret was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, daughter of the late David Ray Fann and Daisy Chenault. She had been in Polk County since 1979 and was of the Christian faith. Margaret had worked for a period of time with Pizza Hut and Tip Top Poultry prior to retiring from EBY Brown Company. She loved shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Alan Pennington, a brother, Ray Fann, and sisters, Ruth Harris, Edna Hastings, Irene Shriver, Virgina Estill, and Sharon Saylor.

Margaret is survived by five children, Shawna Pennington of Aragon, GA, Roy Pennington, Jr., James Lee Pennington, Tammy McBurnett (Todd), Chad Pennington (Tara); sisters, Judy Pinion, Joyce Pinion, and Violet Desha; brothers, Art Fann, David Fann, Richard Fann, and Frank Fann. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held Saturday evening October 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Danny McGee and Pastor Danny Rhodes officiating.

Margaret’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
