Marguerite Hawkins

Ms. Marguerite Hawkins, age 95, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, November 19, 2021.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on October 9, 1926 a daughter of the late Carey Hawkins and the late Gladys Robinson Hawkins. Ms. Hawkins was a 1948 graduate of Rockmart High School and later attended business college in Atlanta. She was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church, worked for Sears in Atlanta for thirteen years and later retired from the Union Carbide Company in Cartersville in 1991. Ms. Hawkins enjoyed reading and shopping at yard sales.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Edward Hawkins in 2018.

Survivors include her sister, Annette Maxwell, Rockmart; two nieces: Lesia Williams (Steve), Marietta and Lori Buckner ( Pete), Cedartown; great nephew, Cameron Williams, Marietta and great niece Abbey Corietas, Jacksonville, FL.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Hooper officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Steve Williams, Camron Williams, Pete Buckner, Barry Jackson, Bobby Cason and Harvey Wilson.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the funeral home.
