Marie Dunn

Mrs. Marie Dunn, age 49, of Aragon, GA, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, in a Rome hospital.

Marie was born in Rome, GA, on November 23, 1974, daughter of Danny Poole and the late Nancy Turner Poole. She had lived all her life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. Marie worked with Arby’s restaurant and was an avid University of Auburn Tigers fan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Marie was preceded in death by an aunt, Del Turner.

Marie is survived by two sons, C.J. (Kala) Poole, and Luke Dunn; two grandchildren, Ezra and Jupiter Poole; father, Danny Poole; fiancé, David Galloway.

Funeral services for Marie will be Tuesday evening, January 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cordell officiating.

Marie’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Honorary pallbearers will include Allen Cornelius, Ryder Neal, Drew Childers, Casey Childers, Austin Dunn, Tyler Dempsey, Wayne West, Joey Turner, and Isaiah Neal. 

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements of Marie Dunn.
