Marilyn Dunn Edwards

Mrs. Marilyn Dunn Edwards, age 70, of Rockmart, GA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Marilyn was born in Rockmart, GA on December 1, 1951 a daughter of the late Augustus Eugene (Gene) Dunn and the late Mary Vinnie Shepard Dunn. She had lived most of her life in Rockmart and was a retired seamstress. Marilyn was a member of the Day Springs Assembly of God and also attended the Fairview Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and listening to music. Marilyn loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Monroe Edwards; by a sister, Janice Stephenson and by a step son, Chuck Edwards.

Survivors include her son, Romas (Junior) Bollen and his wife Marcia; two sisters: Joyce Williams and Edna Haney; four brothers: Alfred Dunn (Wanda), Eddie Dunn (Annette), Larry Dunn (Jane) and Jerry Dunn (Judy); eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece Ellie Buchanan.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Aaron Johnson and Mr. Randy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Revs. Danny Dunn and Danny Cain officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Trevor Caldwell, Chris Buchanan, Bailey Dunn,Wayne Dunn, Junior Bollen, Michael Haney, Paul Dunn and Josh Smith. Honorary pallbearers will include: Clifford Shepard, Kevin Dunn, Zander Buchanan, River Bollen, Alfred Dunn, Larry Dunn, Eddie Dunn, Jerry Dunn, Justin Edwards, Lamar Cope and Bobby Waldrop.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
