Marion Jackson

Mrs. Marion Cox Jackson, age 51, of 26 Wheeler Road Rockmart passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 in a Rome Medical Center following a very brief illness.


Mrs. Jackson was born in Rockmart GA on April 7, 1958, daughter of the late Harold L. Cox and the late Mary Frances Anglin Cox. She had lived all of her life in Rockmart where she was a 1977 graduate of Rockmart High School. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Rockmart Church of Christ and had worked with the Georgia Department of Revenue for 31 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Jim Cox on August 8, 1980.


Survivors include her husband Jeffery S. Jackson of Rockmart to whom she was married on March 31, 1984; son, Alan Jackson, Rockmart; two sisters: Rosa Moore and Helen Cox, both of Rockmart; six nephews and two nieces also survive.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Tant officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Rodney Tant, Greg McDowell, Jeremy Moore, Gabe Moore, Dan Moore and Jed Moore.


The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other hours may be contacted at the residence of a sister Rosa Moore, 471 E. Elm Street Rockmart.
