Martha Ann January

Mrs. Martha Ann January, age 74, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born on May 11, 1946 in Buford, GA, to her late parents, Harrison and Nella Crane Conner. Mrs. January spent the greater part of her life in Rockmart, GA and was a retired sales manager for Olan Mills. Martha Ann loved to craft. Some of her favorite things to do were knitting and sewing. She often made bears and bunnies to send to children in need in Africa through her church. She was a faithful member of Church of Christ and a former Sunday School teacher there. Mrs. January loved and cherished her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis A. January, Sr.

Mrs. January is survived by her son, Allen January and his wife, Stacy-Ann January of Tampa, FL, grandchildren: Allison January and Simone January, great-grandchildren: Penelope Tapia and Elizabeth Tapia, brother, Johnny Conner of New York, N.Y., sisters: Sandra Studstill of Orland, FL, Janice Jackson of MO, and Betty Moon of Smyrna, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Ann January will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Minister Josh Clevenger officiating.

For family and friends who are not able to attend the service in person, Mrs. Januarys graveside service will be live streamed on Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home facebook page at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021. The link to follow is below the "Events Graveside" section at the bottom right of this page.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 27, 2021 before the service from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or a local food bank in loving memory of Mrs. January.
