Martha Ann Waldrop

Mrs. Martha Ann Waldrop, age 73, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Paulding County, GA on March 24, 1944 a daughter of the late Christine Hulsey. Mrs. Waldrop had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. She attended the New Beginnings Church of Rockmart. Mrs. Waldrop worked for a number of years as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Polk County Ambulance Service. She and her late husband were was also the former owners and operators of D & M Movieland of Cedartown and Mrs. Waldrop also operated Granny's Country Crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Dennis Waldrop on May 12, 2003; by a sister, Pauline Mullinax and by two brothers: Johnny Hulsey and Odel Hulsey.

Survivors include two sons: Ricky Hulsey (Gail), Bremen and Bobby Waldrop (Jane), Rockmart; two step sons: Michael Waldrop (Teresa) of Missouri and Greg Waldrop (Angela) of Florida; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Lillie Bell Haley, Temple.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Williams officiating .Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Baptist Church Cemetery of Haralson County.

Pallbearers will include: Jeff Wilson, Jonathan Hulsey, Luke Smith, Tracy Wilson, Kyle Hulsey and Jeff Hulsey.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
