Mary D. Thomason

Mrs. Mary Dell Thomason, age 89, of 1827 Yarbrough Road, Aragon passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 following a brief illness.


A native of Polk County, GA, she was born on May 18, 1919 a daughter of the late Richard Quick and Cleverdale Jackson Quick and had lived her entire life here. Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker and a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Roy Thomason in 1988, by a son, Mr. Bobby Charles Dutton in 1998 and by a grandson, Mr. Rocky Dutton in 1985.


Survivors include a step daughter, Mrs. Annie Cuzzort, Cedartown; one sister, Mrs. Betty Ingle, Rockmart; two grandchildren: Steve Dutton and Tracey Crumley both of Aragon; six great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Fennell and Rev. G. R. Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning View Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Michael Rogers, Dewayne Rogers, Kevin Dutton, Travis Spinks, Gerald Mixon, Barry Crumley and Dusty Crumley.


The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
