Mary Gail Earwood Goss

Mrs. Mary Gail Earwood Goss, age 71, of Aragon, GA, passed away at her residence Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

Gail was born in Rockmart, GA on May 26, 1952, a daughter of the late W.C. Earwood and Mary Frances Bruce Earwood. She had been a lifelong resident of Rockmart and Aragon where she was a member of Rockmart Church of God and also attended Antioch Baptist Church. Gail loved going to church, singing, raising goats, and making her jewelry. Gail was a Registered Nurse for years where she worked at Floyd Medical Center. She had a servants heart and loved caring for her patients.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon Morris and Jake Wheeler.

Survivors include her husband of fifty five years, Jack Goss of Aragon, to whom she was married on March 28, 1968; three children, Angela Colston and her husband, Jimmy of Aragon, Ramona Baker of Aragon, and Rev. Michael Jack Goss and his wife, Tanya of Silver Creek; sixteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Janice Brookover of Southside, AL, Larry Earwood of Taylorsville, and Sandra Carroll of Cedar Bluff, AL; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Goss will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with her son, Rev. Michael Jack Goss and Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Chris Colston, Casey Colston, Grayson Goss, Mason Goss, Jaxon Goss, and Jake Goss. Honorary pallbearers will include Preston Gayton, Carson Goss, Timothy Morris, Jonathan Earwood, and Scottie Goss.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
