Mary Garner Kimmons

Mrs. Mary Garner Kimmons, age 73, of Dallas, GA passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Austell, GA.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on September 9, 1945, a daughter of the late John Garner and the late Frances Bowman Garner. Mrs. Kimmons lived the greater part of her life in the Paulding and Polk County area where she was a member of the Seney Baptist Church. She had a love for Gospel music and enjoyed singing.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kimmons was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Kimmons; son, Alvin Arness Kimmons; three brothers: Bill, Charles and Gary Garner; and two sisters: Martha Mitchell and Carrie Byers.

Survivors include her two sons: Troy Kimmons and his wife Pam, Dallas and Doug Kimmons and his wife Rebecca, Acworth; eight grandchildren: Kody Kimmons, Kyle Kimmons, Lindsey Kimmons, Chelsea Finks, James Kimmons, Daniel Kimmons, Jacob Kimmons and Joshua Kimmons; great granddaughter, Riley Finks; sister, Connie Jones and her husband Doug; brother, Lamar Garner and his wife Sherry; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tyler Barron officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Kimmon's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
