Mary Lue Anderson Richards

December 19, 1929 — February 18, 2012

Mrs. Mary Lue Anderson Richards, age 82, of Rockmart, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Floyd County, GA on December 19, 1929 a daughter of the late Henry Jones and Mandy Mull Jones. Mrs. Richards was a member of the Westside Baptist Church of Felton, GA and was a retired sales associate of WalMart. She had also been employed by Super D, Harpers, Valu Mart and Super 10 Variety Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles E. Anderson in March of 1978 and by four brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include six children: Charles Anderson, Cartersville, Linda White, Rockmart, Diane Tuschl, Aragon, Jimmy Anderson, Cedartown, David Anderson, Sr., Cedartown and Mary Jean Johnson, Rockmart; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and caregiver, Julie Camp, Aragon.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey and Rev. Earl Partain, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery, Cedartown.

Pallbearers will include: David Anderson, Jr., Bill Anderson, Adam Johnson, T.J. White, Jason Cochran and Brett Cochran. All other grandsons and great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all the care given during the illness of their mother.
