Melinda Pabst

Mrs. Melinda Pabst, age 55 of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Melinda was born on February 13, 1966 in Atlanta, GA, to her late parents: Henry Akers and Bobbie McCauley Akers. She has lived in Bartow County since 2015. Melinda was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where she stayed involved in multiple ministries. She was a longtime member of the Legion of Mary.

Mrs. Pabst was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a homemaker and enjoyed homeschooling her children as they were growing up. In her free time, Melinda loved to paint.

Melinda is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph “J.J.” Pabst, her 6 children: Christopher Pabst and his wife, Brittany of El Paso, TX, Tiffany Pabst and her fiancé, Jimmy of McDonough, GA, Michael Pabst of Roswell, GA, Jessica Strevens and her husband, Brian of Ft. Worth, TX, Henry Pabst of Cartersville, GA, and AnneMarie Pabst of Euharlee, GA, 9 grandchildren: Mikaela, Andrew, Nathan, Nickolas, Tristan, Chloe, A.J., Alice and Hudson, brother and sisters: Sandy Stevens, Brian Akers, Kim Travis and Renee Willis, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Pabst will be held by Father Paul Williams on Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Christopher Pabst, Michael Pabst, Henry Pabst, Brian Akers, Jim Travis and Rich Stevens.

The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 12:00 PM until the funeral mass begins at 2:00 PM.
