Minnie Lee (Mickey) Moore

Mrs. Minnie Lee (Mickey) Moore, age 82, of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in a Rome medical center following several months of illness.

She was born in Rome, GA on October 10, 1930 a daughter of Max and Clara Caldwell. She had been a resident of Rockmart since December of 1954 moving here from Rome. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Rockmart Church of Christ. She was a retired employee of Engineered Fabrics Corporation having worked in Accounts Payable Department. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harold H. Moore; by a grandson, Jeremy Moore; a sister, Jo Henderson; a nephew, Steve Henderson; two brothers in law: Kenneth Morris Moore and Cary Henderson and a sister in law, Margarite Moore.

Survivors include two sons: Kenneth Moore and wife Rosa, Rockmart and David Moore and wife Belinda, Rockmart; daughter, Susan Bennett, Rockmart; niece Marsha Harris, Douglasville; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; aunt, Mildred Slaton and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with her sons Kenneth and David Moore officiating and prayer by Minister Josh Clevenger. Poems will be read by Susan Bennett and Sue Ingle. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Gabe Moore, Dan Moore, Jed Moore, Kyle Pinkard, Matt Moore, Lorie Allred, Chris Allred, Trent Moore and Kalee Bennett.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Moore?s memory to the Raintree Village Children?s Home, 3757 Johnston Road, Valdosta, GA 31601.
