Mrs. Ray Caldwell Collins, age 91, of Aragon, GA, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Gardens of Rome.
Mrs. Collins was born in Cedartown, GA, on October 23, 1932, daughter of the late James Manning and Myrtle Dooley Manning. She had lived the greater part of her life in Aragon and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Collins was a housewife and homemaker who loved to cook and sew. She was also an avid square dancer and enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Collins loved to take care of others.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her first husband, Caleb Caldwell, husband, Burney Collins, son, Lee Caldwell, grandson, Travis Caldwell, brothers, Charles Manning and James Manning.
Mrs. Collins is survived by a son, Dennis (Teresa) Caldwell; daughter-in-law, Wanda Caldwell; five grandchildren, Tray, Kitzi, Kerri, Faith, Matilda, and Amy. Nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be Monday afternoon, December 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Aragon Cemetery with Rev. E.J. Hall in charge of committal rites.
Mrs. Collins’ family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Monday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers will include Tristen Hall, Justin Caldwell, Ryan Williams, and E.J. Hall.
