Mrs. Nina Haney Yarborough, age 81, of Cedartown, GA passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in a Cedartown Health Care Center.
She was born in Knoxville, TN on September 20, 1933 a daughter of the late William Clyde Haney and Beatrice Laura Queen Haney. Mrs. Yarborough had lived the greater part of her life in the Floyd and Polk county area and was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church of Aragon. She retired from the General Motors Corporation having worked for twenty two years in both the Lakewood and Doraville Assembly plants.
Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her husband, Horace C. Yarborough on November 27, 2006; by two sisters, Dixie Brannon and Nilida Trenary; by two brothers, Jack Haney and David Haney and by her step mother, Mattie B. (Patsy) Haney.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Yarborough and wife Jackie, Aragon; daughter, Kay Yarborough; five grandchildren including Jody Yarborough raised as a son and his wife Tabatha; six great grandchildren; brother, Harold Haney, Blairsville; four sisters: Shirley Haney Ingle, Rockmart, Toni Haney Blair, Mableton, Barbara Haney, Rockmart and Myra Haney Quintana, Lake Spivey; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Osborn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Jody Yarborough, Kyle Yarborough, Seth Rains, Jonathan Silver, Russ Dees and Joey Brock.
The family will receive friends Thursday from12 noon until the service hour at the Live Oak Baptist Church.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Nina Haney Yarborough.
