Nora Kate Campbell

Mrs. Nora Kate Campbell, age 87, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in a Rome medical center.

She was born in Murphy, NC on September 4, 1930. Mrs. Campbell had lived in the Hiram and Rockmart area the greater part of her life and she was of the Baptist faith. She loved to crochet, sew, cook ,work with ceramics, attend yard sales and flea markets. Mrs. Campbell had been a self employed beautician and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Stalcup Pitts, infant son, Thomas David Jarrell, her first husband, Walter Thomas Jarrell and second husband, Wayne Campbell. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Billy Pitts and Howard Pitts and a sister, Carolyn Lee.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Jarrell and his wife Stephanie, Rockmart; daughter, Joyce Hightower, Acworth; three grandchildren: David Jarrell, Dallas, Brandy Shanks, Adairsville and Ashley Dover, Rockmart; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Colt Deems officiating.. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Paulding County.

Pallbearers will include: Wayne Jarrell, David Jarrell, Seth Jarrell, Logan Deems, Travis Shanks and Joe Harrell.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
