Pastor Reginald David Campbell, age 79, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
He was born in Rockmart, GA, on February 3, 1942, the son of the late Davis Campbell and the late Margaret McCollum Campbell. Mr. Campbell has been a resident of Rockmart, GA, all his life and was an employee of the Georgia Power Company for over 25 years. He was a member of the East View Baptist Church of Cedartown, GA, where he pastored for 37 years from 1979- 2016. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Mabel Jones Campbell, his brother, Michael Campbell and nephew, Jeff Campbell.
Pastor Reginald Campbell is survived by his loving children: Regina Campbell of Rockmart, GA, Beth Campbell of Rockmart, GA, Marshall Campbell and his wife, Tara of Rockmart, GA and Holly Camara and her husband, Allan of Rockmart, GA, grandchildren: Adam Camara, Samuel Camara and his wife, Keershton, Chris Campbell, Candace Cox and her husband, Austin, Bryson Campbell, Slade Campbell, Emmalyn Campbell, and Jackson Campbell; great-grandchildren: Blakley Cox, Truett Cox, Riley Cox, Julian Camara and one on the way, Jane Camara; brothers: Nigel Campbell and Lantz Campbell, sister-in-law, Frances Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Pastor Campbell will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the East View Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Cape, Dale Miller, son, Marshall Campbell, son-in-law, Allan Camara and grandsons: Adam, Chris, Samuel, and Austin delivering eulogies. Interment will follow at East View Baptist Church Cemetery with Ronald Head and Greg Campbell officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Allan Camara, Chris Campbell, Adam Camara, Samuel Camara, Austin Cox, Brian Campbell, Bryson Campbell, and Ronald Head. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Campbell, Slade Campbell, East View Baptist Church Deacons and the many youths that have passed through East View Baptist Church during his years of service.
The family will receive friends at East View Baptist Church on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to East View Baptist Church Youth Program in loving memory of Pastor Campbell. Reginald had a love for children and a desire to win them for the Lord undeniable. Proverbs 22:6.
