Paul Wolfe

December 3, 1935 — June 4, 2011

Mr. Paul Wolfe, age 75 of 8 Conasauga Terrace Rome, GA and formerly of Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 in a Rome medical center.


He was born on December 3, 1935 in Polk County, GA a son of the late Walter Wolfe and Lora Robinson Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe had lived the greater part of his life in the Aragon area and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Wolfes? Grocery in Aragon for over twenty years. Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by brothers: Harold Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Edward Wolfe, David Wolfe and Walter Wolfe and sisters: Lovine Elrod, Joyce Payne, Linda Noll and Jean Wolfe.


Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Waters Wolfe of Rome to whom he was married on March 4, 1955; daughter, Paula Mathis and husband Chris, Rome ; son, Keith Wolfe and wife Maureen of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren: Jeremy Wolfe, Mandi Williams, Thad Mathis and Sam Mathis; two great grandchildren; two brothers: Ronald Wolfe, Villa Rica and Don Wolfe, Summerville; one sister, Shelia Norris, Villa Rica; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Nance officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Scott Wolfe, Joseph Wolfe, Jeffrey Wolfe, Sam Elrod, Eddie Elrod and Kim Wolfe.


The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other hours may be contacted at the residence of Dennis and Patti Thomas, 420 Calloway Circle Rockmart.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Paul Wolfe.
