Phyllis Dye Canup

Mrs. Phyllis Dye Canup, age 76, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Thursday morning, November 21, 2024. 

Mrs. Canup was born in Rockmart, GA, on May 27, 1948, daughter of the late George Robert Dye and Virginia Pearl Dobbins Dye. She was a 1966 graduate of Rockmart High School and had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart. Mrs. Canup was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading and working puzzles.

Mrs. Canup is survived by a daughter, Jayne (Doug) Tatum; grandson, Brandon (Patty) Dymond; great-grandchildren, Micah Dymond and Jameson Campbell; sister, Daphne Womack; brother, David Dye.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Canup will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in her honor to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601.
