Rachel Louise Lowe

Mrs. Rachel Louise Lowe, affectionately known as Ray Ray and Nana, age 75, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Mrs. Lowe was born in Fritchton, IN, on December 22, 1945, a daughter of the late Samuel Addison Downen and the late Hazel Mae Thorne Downen. Rachael enjoyed playing bingo, painting, and going to flea markets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Lowe; children: Michael “Buck” Downen and Michelle “Big Bird” Downen; brothers and sisters: infant Abigail Downen, Sam A Downen, Robert T. Downen (Carol), Royal L. Downen, Paul A. Downen,; and brother-in-law, James R. Hall.

Survivors include her brothers and sisters: Victor (Karen) Downen, Vincennes, IN, Sandra Hall, Bay Minette, AL, Gloria (Earl) Worland, Linton, IN, Martha Downen, Vincennes, IN, John H. Downen, New York, New York, Georgia (Alfred) Stasulis, Long Beach, MS, Tony (Carolyn) Downen, Vincennes, IN; aunt, Martha A. Downen Klopp, California; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins from all over the USA; grandchildren by love, Sue (PJ) Taff, Jessica (Bryan) Streetman and Jeanine (Tony) Walther.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery with her sister, Sandra Hall delivering the eulogy.
