Ralph Robinson

Mr. Ralph Robinson, age 75, of Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born in Aragon, GA on February 13, 1941 a son of Clarence "Mutt" Robinson and Lula Mae Cash Robinson. Mr. Robinson had lived all of his life in Polk County. He had worked at the Aragon Mill, Goodyear Mill and retired in 2004 from Engineered Fabrics. Mr. Robinson was a former member and Deacon of the Liberty View Baptist Church in Floyd County for 41 years before becoming a member and Deacon of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Polk County for the past 12 years. He loved to go to church and enjoyed spending time at local flea markets.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Rev. Donald "Bo" Robinson and Rev. Carl Robinson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Eloise Pilgrim Robinson to whom he was married on December 21, 1963; son, Rev. Greg Robinson and wife Melanie, Aragon; daughter, Mrs. Sherie Robinson Payne and husband Donny, Rome; six grandchildren: Jessie, Josh, Jenna and Janie Robinson and Hannah and Abby Payne; one sister, Mrs. Marie Forsyth, Rockmart; three brothers: Dean Robinson, Aragon, Dell Robinson, Taylorsville and Ronnie Robinson, Aragon; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Robinson and Donny Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery With David Pilgrim officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Josh Robinson, Rodney Robinson, Lee Forsyth, Brent Edwards, Daniel Teal and Jason Cline. Honorary pallbearers will include: Alvin Wigley, Ronnie Robinson, Dean Robinson, Dell Robinson and the Deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church
.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
