Mr. Randall Coleman (Randy) Brock, age 65, of Kingston, GA and formerly of Rockmart passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at his residence following an illness of several months.
Randy was born in Rome, GA on April 17, 1957 a son of Norman Garner Brock and Beatrice Fowler Brock. He lived his early life in Rome before moving to Rockmart and then to Kingston. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Bartow county. During his working career he had been employed as a carpenter and then moved into working as a police officer. He had worked with the Rockmart Police Department, Aragon Police Department and the Polk County Police Department.. While with the Polk County Police Department he worked as a detectective.
Following his work as a police officer he was employed by the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority for a period of thirteen years and retired as Clerk of the works overseeing many of the special projects of the Authority in both Rome and Rockmart. Randy enjoyed fishing and helping others.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Owen Garner Brock and Richard Earl Brock.
Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Harpe (Joey) and a son, Brian Brock (Shea); step daughter, Kayla Wells (Jeremy); sister, Beatrice Diane Bradford (Ricky); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Sue Brock and Tammie Brock. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Tucker and Rev. Jerry Branton officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 pm until the memorial hour at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Randy Brock.
