Randy Waits

Mr. Randy “Paw” Waits, age 63, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Mr. Waits was born in Rockmart, GA on July 29, 1957, a son of the late Hansel Eugene “PeeWee” Waits and the late Shirley Ann Waters Waits. Randy had lived all of his life in Rockmart and had attended Van Wert Baptist Church. He enjoyed go cart racing, mechanicing and camping. His greatest love was his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Angelia and Melanie Waits and a stillborn baby boy Waits.

Survivors include his wife, Shaun Waits to whom he was married on October 24, 1977; two daughters: Buffey (Bubba) Hulsey and Brandy (Adam) Cox; one son, Jeremy (Cortney) Waits; four grandchildren: Addyson, Kinley, Hadilynn and Kate; brother, Stevie (Angie) Waits; sister, Cindy (Doyal) Woodward; special niece, Whitney and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Swift officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Bubba Hulsey, Adam Cox, Jeff Agan, Bri Davenport, Billy Durham and Ron Scarbrough. Honorary pallbearers will include: Ricky Barber, Sammy Adams, Danny Ferguson and Randy Arp.

The family will receive friends Monday evening between the hours of 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
