Rebecca Davis Truett

Mrs. Rebecca Davis Truett, age 96, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Truett was born in Rockmart on February 3, 1928, a daughter of the late William Presley Davis and Meta “Mae” Leech Davis. She had been a resident of Rockmart the greater part of her life and was a housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Truett, who was of the Baptist faith, was an excellent cook, enjoyed sewing, cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and adored taking care of her children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Truett was preceded in death by her husband, RB Truett, son, Ronald Truett, brothers, Billy Davis, Brooke Davis, Charles Davis, and Jerry Davis, and a sister, Jane Johnson.

Mrs. Truett is survived by her children, David “Nik” Truett, Becky Truett, and Kathy (Bobby) Crider; three grandchildren, Bridget (Rosco) Sorrell, Ryan Crider, and Kortney Crider; great-grandchildren, Jordan (Meghan) Jones, Lindsey (Dakota) Timms, Brody Jones, Bryce Jones, Cristina Casey, Emilyn Sorrell, Russell Sorrell, Kaiden Sorrell, Wylder Sorrell; great-great-grandchildren, James Jones, Weston Timms, Karson Jones, and Kinsley Dover; sister, Joyce Stringer; brother, Jack Davis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Truett will be held on Friday afternoon, July 26, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.

Mrs. Truett’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday evening, July 25, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Rosco Sorrell, Brody Jones, Jordan Jones, Bobby Crider, Dakota Timms, Dalton Williams, and Bryce Jones.
