Richard Franklin (Ricky) Ballew

Mr. Richard Franklin (Ricky) Ballew, age 54, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, April 7, 2017.

Ricky was born in Rome, GA on January 26, 1963 a son of Harriette Combs Ballew and the late Jerry L. Ballew, Sr.. He had lived the greater part of his life in the Rockmart area where he worked as a carpenter. Ricky loved to talk about God and spend time with his family.

Survivors include his three daughters: Candi Ballew, Rockmart, Heather Ballew, Cedartown and Christa Ballew, Cartersville; mother, Harriette Garner, Cumming; four brothers and sisters: Dale Ballew, Rockmart, Darlene Ballew, Duluth, Beth Gomez, Cumming and Billy Ballew, Calhoun; four grandsons; one great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Robert Combs, Johnny Combs, Brent Morris, Bennie Duncan, John Gomez and Gilbert Raines. Shyheim Channels and Jaysean Vanzant will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
