Rita Wilson

Mrs. Rita L. Wilson, age 67, of 560 Wimberly Hill Road, Cedartown, GA passed away Monday, January 28th. at her residence following an eight month illness.


She was born in Karsurke, Germany on January 4, 1941 a daughter of the late Wilheim and Maria Ehrmann. Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of the Rockmart and Cedartown area for the past thirty years. She was employed by Murata Electronics Corporation in Rockmart for 24 years. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Rockmart United Methodist Church.


She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jim Wilson of Cedartown to whom she was married on April 27, 1961; one son, Mr. Michael Curtis Wilson, Sr. and his wife Darlin of Cedartown; two daughters: Mrs. Gwen Wilson Shockley of Alabama and Mrs. Kelly Wilson Thaxton, Cedartown; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters in law: Mrs. Donna Wilson Dailey, Rockmart, Mrs. Peggie Wilson Bosco, Rockmart and Mrs. Patsy Trish Wilson Scarfone, Cedartown; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 30th. at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miler & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens.


Pallbearers included: Tony Valentine, James Reliford, Michael Curtis Wilson, Sr., Michael Curtis Wilson, Jr., Richard Billingham, Jackie Bramlett and Tony Waldron.
