Robert Timothy (Bob) Brown

Mr. Robert Timothy (Bob) Brown, age 63, of Rockmart passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Rome, GA on May 13, 1950 and was the son of the late Robert Anderson Brown and Myrtle Elizabeth Williams Brown. Bob was a 1968 graduate of Rockmart High School and a graduate of Coosa Valley Tech. He was a member of the Rockmart First Baptist Church and was a member and past Master of Rockmart Lodge # 97 F. & A.M..
He was also a member of the William G. England Daylight Lodge # 747 F. & A.M.. Bob retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation following 34 years of service.

Survivors include sons: Chris Brown, Rockmart and Bob Brown and wife Paige, Buchanan; daughters: Susie Odom and husband Kevin, Aragon and Julie Gentry, Silver Creek; seven grandchildren: Lane Odom, Klay Odom, Peyton Gentry, Hunter Gentry, Hannah Gentry, Ella Brown and Zach Brown.

Funeral services will be held Sunday September 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with the West Georgia Masonic Memorial Club in charge of Masonic graveside rites.

Members of the West Georgia Masonic Memorial Club will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
