Ruby T. Moore

Mrs. Ruby T. Moore, age 78, of 1801 Old Alabama Road, Taylorsville, GA passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Cartersville Medical Center following several years of declining health.


She was born in Taylorsville, GA on November 6, 1930 a daughter of Fred Williams and Canzady Brownlow Williams. Mrs. Moore had been a resident of Bartow county all of her life and was a member of the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church. She retired in 1988 from E Z Mills of Cartersville. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Canzady Williams, by her husband Clyde S. Moore on April 30, 1992 and by a sister, Ruth Woods.


Survivors include a son, Phillip Moore of Taylorsville; a daughter, Charlene and Rickey Cantrell of Taylorsville; a sister Freddie Wolfe of Taylorsville; four grandchildren: Heather Moore Woods, Shea Moore, Chris and Chad Thomas; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.


Active pallbearers will include: Rusty Lanier, Jimmy Woods, Cary Wolfe, Greg Wolfe, Lance Wood and John Gurniewicz. Honorary pallbearers will include: James Collum, Junior Woods, Rickey Woods, L.C. Cornwell, Jean Cantrell, Charlie Cox, Jerry Cox and Henry Williams.


The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
