Ruth Cash

Mrs. Ruth Cash, age 90, of Hunter Street, Rockmart and formerly of Aragon, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 following several years of declining health.


She was born in Aragon, GA on March 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Ed Roberson and Francis George Roberson. Mrs. Cash had lived all of her life in Polk County where she was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son Billy J. Cash on February 17, 2007 and a daughter, Ila Sutton on April 23, 2002.

Survivors include three daughters: Betty Cash of Kansas, Barbara Hayes of Cave Spring, and Syble Williams of Aragon; one sister, Mildred Swift of Rockmart; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Sutton and Rev. Archie Streetman officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.


Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include: Brandon Waits, Craig Waits, Donnie Swift, Shane Keane, Everett Sutton, and Casey Johnson.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
