Ruth Gribble Ballinger

Mrs. Ruth Gribble Ballinger, age 89, of Old Wax Road (The Flint Hill Community) Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011.


She was born on May 10, 1922 a daughter of the late R.E. Gribble and Beulah Yarbrough Gribble. Mrs. Ballinger had lived the greater part of her life in the Flint Hill Community where she was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Aragon Mill. Mrs. Ballinger was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dan Arthur Ballinger on June 21, 2007; by a daughter Brenda Ballinger Buford in 1993 ; by a son, Scotty Roy Ballinger in 2002 and a brother, Clyde Gribble.

Survivors include a daughter, Gail Ballinger Brumbelow and husband Alfred, Aragon; nine grandchildren: Sissy Horne and husband Steve, Todd Buford, Jody Buford and wife Ashley, Phil Brumbelow and wife Lynn, Eric Brumbelow and wife Kristy, Tiffany Ballinger, Nicholas Ballinger and wife Erica, Sara Ballinger and Anna Marie Ballinger; nine great grandchildren: Kiah, Kip and Joy Buford, Lauren, Zach, Jayden and Raley Brumbelow, Kendall and Keely Ballinger; son in law, Ronnie Buford; daughter in law, Cindy Ballinger; sister, Frances Taylor, Rome.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with her Pastor Rev. Don Spears officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Phil Brumbelow, Eric Brumbelow, Todd Buford, Jody Buford, Nicholas Ballinger and Zach Brumbelow.


The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Flint Hill Baptist Church and at other hours may be contacted at the residence of Eric and Kristy Brumbelow, 45 Ballinger Road Aragon, GA.
