Mrs. Sara Ann Evans, age 91, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Sunday morning, December 8. 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Evans was born on May 30, 1933, daughter of the late Fred Davis and Sproull Harris Davis. She had lived the greater part of her life in Taylorsville and was a member of the Floyd Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans had worked for many years with EZ Mills as a seamstress. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and traveling. Mrs. Evans also loved picking up pecans, gardening, working with her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Evans, and a brother, Harold “Buddy” Davis.

Mrs. Evans is survived by four children, Cathy Evans, Allen (Tina) Evans, Harvey (Donna) Evans, and Lisa Lanham; seven grandchildren, Leslie Busby, Craig (Carrie) Evans, Clint (Lauren) Evans, Dustin (Ashley) Evans, Levi Lanham, Mackenzie (Jasper) Anglin, and Gracie Lanham; six great-grandchildren, Evan Wolff, Magi Busby, Kyleigh Evans, Carson Evans, Deacon Evans, Evangeline Evans, and another on the way; sister, Nancy Ruth Richards. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Floyd Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Payne and Rev. Tommy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Justin Harris in charge of graveside rites.

Mrs. Evans’ family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. 

Pallbearers will include Craig Evans, Clint Evans, Dustin Evans, Levi Lanham, Evan Wolff, and Jasper Anglin. Honorary pallbearers will include Lamar Harris, Larry T. Harris, Rick Davis, and Ken Davis.

Mrs. Evans’ family respectively requests that flowers be omitted, and memorial contributions be made to either Floyd Creek Baptist Church or Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sara Ann Evans.
