Sarah Elizabeth Brownlow

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Brownlow, age 90, of Kenner, LA passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 in Kenner, LA.

She was born in Taylorsville, GA on October 2, 1923, a daughter of the late Warner Eugene Earwood and Odessa Welchel Earwood. Mrs. Brownlow had spent the last twenty years in Kenner, LA moving from Tampa, FL. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brownlow was preceded in death by her husband, Odis F. Brownlow; son, Jimmy Brownlow; six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Smith and her husband Jimmie, Kenner, LA; three grandchildren: Ricky Brownlow and wife Christi, Elizabeth Bellegarde and husband Marcel and Tamara Newman and husband Joe; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Wilma Yarbrough; brother, Willard Earwood; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Mr. James Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Ricky Brownlow, Jackie Welchel, Mike Savage, Larry Earwood, Andrew Earwood and John Sprayberry.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
