Scotty Stegall

Mr. Scotty Stegall, age 46, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Scotty was born in Rome, GA on May 7, 1975, a son of the late Jimmy Scott Stegall, Sr. and the late Betty Joyce Horton Stegall. Scotty had lived all of his life in Rockmart where he was a 1993 graduate of Rockmart High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy. Scotty was an avid outdoorsman who loved his family, especially his niece, Kenzie, UGA football and his dog, Legget.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mae and Red Horton, and Frances and Hershel Stegall.

Scotty is survived by his sister, Shelly Carter and her husband, Rance, Rockmart; niece, Kenzie Carter, Rockmart; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Arrington officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Brown-Wright Post#12 American Legion Honor Guard in charge of military graveside rites.

Pallbearers will include: Blake Brumbelow, Casey Camp, David Lipham, Dusty Cole, Adam Smith, and Britt Earwood. Honorary pallbearers will include: David Taylor and Spencer Earwood.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
