Shawn Kelly

Shawn Kelly, age 52, of Rockmart, GA, (the Yorkville Community), passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Shawn was born in Fort Pierce, FL, on April 15, 1972, son of Diana Welling Kelly and the late Donald Harold Kelly. He had been a resident of Rockmart since June of 2018 moving here from Marietta, GA, and had also lived in Virginia Beach during his military service. Shawn was a 20 year retired veteran of the United States Navy where he was a Shellback and a Bluenose. He loved building model boats and making them into remote-controlled boats. Shawn also loved his motorcycle and enjoyed all things sci-fi, especially Star Trek.

Shawn is survived by a daughter, Serenity Kelly; son Dave Branton; mother, Diana Kelly; brother, Kevin Kelly; sister, Diana Kelly. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Shawn will be cremated, and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
