Sheila Snead Cady

Mrs. Sheila Snead Cady, age78, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Mrs. Cady was born in Rome, GA on July 4, 1945, a daughter of the late William R. “Bill” Moore and the former Lucille Lewis. Sheila had lived the greater part of her life in Cherokee County, AL and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Whorton Community in Alabama. She had a great love for her animals and was a former meat market manager at Winn-Dixie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hugh and Beatrice Lewis.

Sheila is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Whorton and her husband, Jeff, Rockmart, and Terri Luck and her husband, Tony, Hixson, TN; son Richard Cady and his wife, Jessica, Centre, AL; six grandchildren, Brandon Whorton, Ashley Ruth, Jennifer Kelley, Alisha Murr, Richie Cady, Jr., and Johnny Cady; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Lewis Snead, and Jerry Michael Moore.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Cady will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
