Mrs. Sherry Ann Davenport, age 67, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
Sherry was born in Rockmart, GA on July 9, 1954 a daughter of Kenneth Owen and Bobbie Stone Owen. She had lived all of her life in the Cedartown and Rockmart area and was a 1972 graduate of Rockmart High School. Mrs. Davenport was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church of Cedartown. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family. Sherry owned and operated her own interior design business known as Fiene Things.
Survivors include her husband, Guy Davenport, Jr.; daughters: Jennifer Morgan and her husband Cary and Christa Holmes and her husband Eli Vaughn; step daughter, Camille Cooper and her husband Brian; step son, Collin Davenport; parents, Kenneth and Bobbie Owen; sister, Karen Smith and her husband Claude; grandchildren: Ashleigh Ann Morris, Britt Morgan, Reese Cooper, Ethan Cooper and Paige Popham; great grandchildren: Kaylie Popham, Lizzie Popham and Cain Morgan; niece, Paige and Levi Cagle and several great nieces.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm in New Hope Fellowship Church of Cedartown with Rev. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will include: Collin Davenport, Brian Cooper, Ethan Cooper, Carey Morgan, Eli Vaughn, Danny Bailey, Gary Bailey, Jonathan Morgan and Levi Cagle.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at New Hope Fellowship Church, 363 Blance Rd. Cedartown, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Sherrys’ memory to Lung Cancer Research at cancerresearch.org.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Sherry Ann Davenport.
