Shirley Jean Barber

Mrs. Shirley Jean Barber, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born on April 9, 1944 in Rome, GA, to her late parents: Ray Ferguson and Lorena Lanham Ferguson. Shirley lived all her life in Rockmart, GA and was a member of Aragon Baptist Church. Mrs. Barber was an incredibly hard worker and had worked for TI Automotive before retiring. Shirley was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ballew and brother, William Ferguson.

Mrs. Barber is survived by her loving children: Trina Dover of Rockmart, GA, Larry Barber of Rockmart, GA, Teresa Bramlett of Rockmart, GA, Tim Barber of Rockmart, GA, 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Johnny Ferguson of Rockmart, GA, sisters: Martha Ray Murphy of Adairsville, GA, and Patricia West of Rockmart, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Jean Barber will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. In keeping with the families wishes, Mrs. Barber will be cremated after the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM until the service begins at 7:00 PM.
