Stephen Bryan Cobb

Mr. Stephen Bryan Cobb, age 48, of Taylorsville, GA passed away suddenly Monday morning, May 11, 2020.

He was born in Gainesville, GA on August 15, 1971, a son of Marshall Eugene Cobb and Linda Snelling Cobb. Stephen grew up in Gainesville, GA and lived in Colorado for two years after school. He had been a resident of Taylorsville for the past four years. Mr. Cobb was owner/operator of Alpha Credit, where he had a location in Cartersville, two in Gainesville and previously had a location in Rockmart. While working in Gainesville he was influential in creating the program called Challenged Child. He loved to cook and grill and enjoyed fishing,
playing golf and snow skiing. Stephen loved doing for others, was a generous man and just enjoyed life.

Survivors include his wife, Christie Cobb, Taylorsville; children: Evan Cobb, Gainesville and Julia Cobb, Gainesville; step-children: Gavin Smith, Cartersville, Beau Smith, Cartersville and Chase Black, Taylorsville; mother and father, Linda and Eugene Cobb, Gainesville; brother, David Cobb and his wife, Kathy, Alto; sister, Donna Montgomery and her husband Monty, Gainesville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Cobb will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date after restrictions are lifted.
