Stephen Ezell

Mr. Stephen O. Ezell, age 66, of Rockmart passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

He was born in Richton, Mississippi on January 17, 1949 a son of the late Oree Ezell and Katherine Edwards Ezell. Mr. Ezell had been a resident of Georgia since 1973. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served on the USS Furse. Mr. Ezell was a retired employee of the Paulding County Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Moody Ezell, Rockmart to whom he was married on February 19, 2000; brother, Mike Ezell, Slidell, Mississippi; three sisters: Peggy Ezell Strawbridge and husband Benard, Oxford, Mississippi, Ginger Ezell Rodgers and husband Jimmy, Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Patricia Ezell Withers, Moselle, Mississippi. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Maryellen Hittel officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial gifts be made in honor of Mr. Ezell to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
