Syble C. Rayburn

Mrs. Syble C. Rayburn, age 74, of Aragon passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at her residence following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Rockmart, GA on July 10, 1936 a daughter of the late William and Sylvia Christopher. Mrs. Rayburn had lived the greater part of her life in Aragon , was a member of the Aragon Baptist Church and was a former employee of Integrated Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin E. (Frank) Rayburn, Sr. on August 19, 2005; by a daughter, Teresa Lynn Rayburn; by a brother, Junior Christopher and by two sisters: Linda Graham and Violet Nichols.


Survivors include two daughters: Cynthia Rayburn, Aragon and Brenda Sue Rayburn, Aragon; three sons: Frankie Eugene Rayburn, Jr., Rockmart, Ricky Charles Rayburn, Aragon and David Jonathan Rayburn, Aragon; three sisters: Nita Malone, Rockmart, Lillie Swann, Bremen and Diane Christopher, Rockmart; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Morning View Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Cody Rayburn, Lee Rowell, Terry Hendrix, Joey Weldon, Alan Weldon and Robbie Rayburn.


The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
