Thelma Joyce "Joy" Elliott

Thelma Joyce “Joy” Elliott, age 55, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, April 14, 2025.

Joy was born in Atlanta, GA, on November 18, 1969, daughter of Thelma Joyce Barrett Collins and the late Anthony Collins. She had lived her childhood years in Carrollton, GA, and the greater part of her adulthood life in Rockmart. Joy was a housewife and homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her father and grandparents, Joy was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Todd Elliott.

Joy is survived by her husband, Terry Elliott, whom she married on June 24, 2000; two children, Christian Elliott and Dustin Elliott; mother, Joyce Collins; two brothers, Tony Collins and William (Jennifer) Collins; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margie and J.C. Elliott; two brothers-in-law, Tracy (Brittany) Elliott and Travis Elliott. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Joy will be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Parris officiating.
