Thelma Virginia Cammon

Mrs. Thelma Virginia Cammon, age 73, of 1503 Garrison Plantation Drive, S.E., Marietta, GA passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 in Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

She was born in Atlanta, GA on July 12, 1936 a daughter of the late Charlie Wilburn Garrett and Mamie Dale Johnson Garrett. Mrs. Cammon was a former resident of Rockmart moving to the Metro Atlanta area and had been a resident of Marietta for the past 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith and worked in the health care field prior to retirement. Mrs. Cammon was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Cammon.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Cammon and a son, Larry Cammon both of Marietta; one sister, Patricia L. Garrett of Lawrenceville; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Warriner officiating.
