Tim Pendley

Mr. Tim Pendley, age 56, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home following a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on July 10, 1958, a son of Winfred Eugene Pendley and Elizabeth Daniel Pendley. Mr. Pendley lived the greater part of his life in the Austell area and had been a resident of Rockmart for the past ten years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and was of the Baptist faith. He was very artistic, loved to play golf, to sing, and to hunt. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Bobby Pendley on May 25, 2014.

Survivors include two sons: Jesse Hall and Austin Pendley; several grandchildren; parents, Winfred Eugene Pendley and Elizabeth Daniel Pendley; four sisters: Evelyne Pendley, Kathy Coley, Tammie Taylor and Sue Moss; three brothers: Tony Coley, Steve Coley and Tim Coley; thirteen nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Timmy Jones officiating. Mr. Pendley's niece, Mrs. Blayne West will deliver the eulogy.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Brent Coley, Billy Robinson, Eddie Robinson, Jamie Taylor, Andy Taylor and Rodney Wolfe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to our local Alcoholics Anonymous chapter in Rockmart. There are two ways of doing this to maintain their anonymity.
