Timothy Keith Morgan

Mr. Timothy Keith Morgan, age 54, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Cedartown, GA following injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Keith was born in Rockmart, GA on February 8, 1960 a son of Timothy Roger Morgan and Syble Wilson Morgan. He had lived all of his life in the Rockmart area, was a 1979 graduate of Rockmart High School and was of the Baptist faith . Keith loved to spend time with his family and friends and he also loved to ride his motorcycle. He had coached Little League Baseball and enjoyed spending time on the lake. He owned Morgan Construction Company working as a home builder and siding contractor. He was preceded in death by his mother, Syble Wilson Gentry.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Thaxton Morgan of Rockmart to whom he was married on January 27, 1984; two daughters: Chevy Anne Couzzort, Rockmart and Sheena Rein Morgan, Rockmart; seven grandchildren: Drake Benefield, Abreana Couzzort, Jacee Couzzort, Anbria Couzzort, Averee Green, Gavin Green, and L. J. Cooper; father, Tim Morgan, Rockmart and two sisters: Angie Cornwell, Rockmart and Trina Dover, Rockmart.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor James Cordell and Pastor John Hooper officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will include: Tony Robinson, Chris Carroll, Rance Carter, David Duke, Roddy Austin, Chuck Brookshire, Jeff Dunn and Heath Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jimmy Stegall, Alan Glenn, John Glenn, , Kem Weaver, Tommy Shaw, Tommy Cummings, Harold Garrett, Jeremy Morris, Ken Williams, Tommy Morris, Greg McElwee, Danny Ferguson, Timmy Johnson, Garlan Gammell, Keylon Davis, Scotty Swift, Robert Lee, Ricky Tenney, Mike Hester and Danny Stephenson.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Keith Morgan Grandchildren’s College Fund at Family Savings Credit Union, 101 Felton Drive, Rockmart, GA 30153.
