Mrs. Tina Leigh Jay, age 63, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Rockmart, GA on September 14, 1961, a daughter of the late Robert “Bobby” Lumpkin and the late Shirley Lipham Lumpkin. Tina had lived all of her life in Rockmart and was a 1979 graduate of Rockmart High School. She was a retired corporate manager with A.T. & T. Tina enjoyed traveling and looking for seashells when at the beach. She was a member of the Rockmart Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her biological father, Kenneth Bruce and his wife, Margie.
Survivors include her husband, Craig Jay to whom she was married on July 4, 1981; two daughters: Brandi Jay and Tiffany Jay; sister, Janet Howard; brothers, Troy (Patricia) Bruce and Chris (Alyssa) Bruce; five grandchildren: Ashlyn, Colby, Andrew, Alanta and Derrick; one great grandson, Stetson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Lester and Mr. Harry Fife officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Colby Posey, Andrew Posey, Alanta Wilson, Corey Bruce, Brent Mason and Trey Hughes.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 am until the service hour at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made in Tina’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889 Dallas, TX 75380 or by calling 1-877-GO KOMEN.
